Supply Chain Department
The Supply Chain department is organized in three areas: Planning, Operations and Projects.
Planning
The Planning area is in chargeof making the mid-term forecast. To do this task it is important to maintain contact with the Sales department in order to be aware of promotions and sales actions for customers. That is to say, theyhave to forecast the future sales.
Once the forecast is made for the next three months, the production and replenishment is planned. The master planning for the next three weeks is agreed with themanagers of the breweries and the first week is frozen.
At the same time, the breweries have to be replenished with primary packaging materials (eg cans, kegs, bottles, etc...).
Operations
TheOperations team collects this production from the breweries and ships it to the warehouses, based on the stock policies that are defined.
On the other hand, we solve all the problems related to thedelivery of an order to a client. If we have some issues with the stock, we must react in order to avoid a stock-out.
We also are in charge of export orders and import replenishments. We coordinate theload of the container and documentation for export orders. If we don’t know the destination (country), we make a tender to contract the final forwarder.
The company has other partners, like Carlsberg,Molson, Sara Lee, Coronita and Warsteiner. We have a close relationship with them, and collaborate to sell their brands in Spain. We order monthly replenishments from them and we track the KPIsestablished.
Projects
The last area is new projects, which leads the new projects that the department decides to launch.
