Dear students:
I am writing again to invite you to 2009 Annual TICA Cup, which has been planned for 5th and 6th Dec., 2009.
On September 22, 2003 TaiwanICDF, your scholarshipsponsor, took the initiative to establish the Taiwan International Cooperation Alliance (TICA) with seven local universities, including National Chengchi University. Cooperating with localuniversities, this alliance aims at consolidating the management of the TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program as its priority. It is also expected to benefit TaiwanICDF, participating universities,and society by integrating resources from these three sides. Led by these principles, TICA Cup was first held in 2007 and soon becomes the most important event for scholarship studentsand TICA each year.
This year, hosted by National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), TICA Cup 2009 will boast Mandarin speech competition, international foodfestival, fitness sports competition. Estimated over 130 students from over 30 countries and 15 cooperating local universities will participate and network in this event.

Please block the date in your calendar, and attend to make the event at success. I would expect and encourage you to ask your professors for leave in well advance ifyou have classes during the event and do your best to make up for any loss due to your absence.
