Objective:
Our goal withthis experiment was to use low level format with DSL diskettes using the FDISK command to create partitions and make them a bootable device. And verify that it is bootable go into BIOS Boot Menu andsystem diagnostics.

Essay Questions:
1.What is BIOS, What does it stand for and where is it stored?
Bios is the first code that runs when you first turn on the PC during the splash screen andidentify and detects the systems devices. It stands for basic input/ouput system, it works in the boot strap.

2. what is POST and how does it communicate with the user when a problem occurs?
POSTstands for power on self test and this makes sure your computer is fine to start up the pc a error occurs.

3. what special keys were used to access BIOS, System diagnostics and the BIOS Boot menu?
Thespecial keys use for accessing BIOS is f2, Diagnostics is f9 and for the BIOS boot menu is f12.

4. describe the procedure to create a primary partition, to set it Active and to make it boot-up andoperating system?
To create a Primary partition we have to open the FDISK program then choose create primary partition, enter the size to drive C: then press [ESC] to menu and set active then 3finger salure the computer and type format C:/S and reboot.

5.what file allocation systems are recognized by WIN98DOS?
The file allocation is FAT32.

6. Describe three types of partition recognizedby WIM98DOS.
The primary Partition contains one file system, which contains the BIOS. An extended partition has multiple logical partitions.
