The Virgin and the Child and Angel: Is a work of Italian Renaissancepainter Sandro Botticelli. Is done in tempera on panel. It measures 87 cm high and 60 wide centimeters. Data from 1465-67 and is preserved in the Spedale degli Innocenti in Florence (Italy), anorphanage in the city, opened in 1444, designed by Brunelleschi.

His complete name was Alessandro di Mariano di Vanni Filipepi was born in Florencia the 1st of March in 1445, and died in 17thof May 1510, was an Italian painter of the early renaissance. He belonged to the Florentine school under the patronage of Lorenzo de’ Medici.
In his early life he lived in a house in the Via Nouva,Vasari reported that he was initially trained as a goldsmith by his brother Antonio. In 1462 he was apprenticed to Fra Filippo Lippi; many of his early works have been attributed to the elder master,and attributions continue to be uncertain.
By 1470, Botticelli had his own workshop. Even at this early
