Today I'm going to speak about the impact of caste on India's society, as a matter of fact The Indians are very attached to their system of social scale, because this scale is strongly implied in thereligiosity. Anyway The opponents of the system are rare and a minority. Actually The Indians don't seems, for the greater part, conscious of the disparity engendered by the system, Those whomilitate for the dignity of the "untouchable"such as Gandhi are opposed to the followers of Ambedkar, who wanted to delete the system even thought he is very close to religion. The Indians, by respecting thedivision of the world in castes, think of living in accordance with the universe. This relation is named " darmha ".However, it would be for them insane in breaking this harmony, by questioning theexistence of caste. The fights between pariah and the superior castes almost never existed.The Hinduism being the majority religion, which is in contrast with to the monotheist religions that soakedthe western civilizations, does not see life after death, but many more lives after the death. In the Christianity, for example, the believer sees himself in a mortal life while waiting for an immortallife. The Hindu, him, believes in an eternal cycle called the " Karma ", where after every life, he reborn in an another body,until he reaches the nirvana, the degree of ultimate purity.In fact, thenext life is determined by the one that the believer lives. And it is where caste are made from: indeed an Indian is, for example, "Brahman" only if he respected the religious rules in his previouslife. Thus if he is an "untouchable", it is because he did not respect those rules. So "pariah" are the caste considered the lowest.
