Teachers without the propper pedegogy in bilingual schools

JUSTIFICATION

One of the problems that are manifested in the bilingual education in Honduras is that there are people working as teachers that are not prepared as English teacher.

These teachers must be prepared to be able to develop their objectives and techniques for better teaching education.

Teachers with knowledge, didactic alternatives can put in practice techniques related toactive methods for teaching that allow to organize and guide the students. We consider that is essential to have all knowledge based in pedagogic, didactic, technology, tools for to be a good English teacher.

Why?

Because these inexperienced people is taking the job of one that are really prepared in the specific area of teaching the English as a second language. Prepared teacher knows whatand when to apply the right activities according to the level that is developed.

To be a good English teacher requires extensive knowledge of this area, curriculum, standards, enthusiasm, a way of being affectionate and a love of learning, knowledge of discipline and management of a classroom and a desire to make a difference in the lives of the students.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

✓As UPN students, in the growing education, we want to strengthen new formation of the bilingual education, but with qualified teachers with didactic and pedagogical techniques to apply to learners adequately inside the classroom and offer them qualified education.
✓ The teachers of bilingual education (English education) must possess basic knowledge to organize the planning and managing ofthe daily lesson plan, unit plan, and not only that, but also strategies of learning preparation of didactic materials according to the level of the students.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
✓ Identify the weakness of teachers without a proper pedagogy in bilingual institutions that are executing a labour as educators.
✓ Compare the differences between prepared teachers with non preparedteachers.
✓ Recognize the characteristics of teachers without a proper pedagogy.
✓ Describe the negative aspect of not qualified teachers.

INTRODUCTION

The teaching of a foreign language in Honduras is identified with the English teaching, since this language has always been seen as a social need, firstly, because of the existence of a strong history, economy, cultural and socialrelation between Honduras and the United States.

The arise of bilingual schools, a phenomenon itself, was the first attempt from the private initiative to respond the expectations to teach the foreign language in the primary and pre-scholar levels. Such innovation has permitted that a reduced number of the Honduran infant’s population could enter in this learning experience.

It is fromthe social condition of the human communication and the natural acquisition processes of the language from it must be boarded the teaching-learning of a foreign language that must have to use the linguistic and communicative capacities showed by the children in the acquisition of the mother tongue in its natural environment, looking for the most adequate didactic and methodological strategies inorder to activate and generalize such capacities to get access to a new language in the scholar context.

As Mr. Brune (1986) says, the structure and syntax of the language are the results of the structure of the action between the adult and the child is for that reason that Honduras will have a qualified education only if teachers or facilitators have the proper pedagogy in order toteach.

Pedagogy is defined as the art or science of being a teacher. The term generally refers to strategies of instruction, or a style of instruction to be developed to make easier specific teaching- learning in a classroom.
