RESUMEN
Con la finalidad de conocer cuáles son los factores que influyen en el
cumplimiento de la lactancia materna exclusiva hasta los seis meses de vida, en
los bebés con Síndrome de Down, que nacieron en los años 2012 y 2013 en el
Servicio de Neonatología del Hospital Obstétrico Virgen de la Misericordia, OSEP,
Mendoza, se realizó este estudio que es de tipo descriptivo, de cortetransversal
retrospectivo, con una población de veinte (20) madres de los bebés mencionados
anteriormente, a quienes con previo consentimiento informado se les aplicó como
técnica de recolección de datos una encuesta tipo cuestionario de 15 ítems, con
respuestas de múltiple opción.
Los resultados obtenidos fueron reflejados en gráficos estadísticos,
evidenciando que la mayoría de los bebésnacieron entre 31 y 37 semanas de
gestación, los mismos fueron internados en el Servicio de Neonatología, con un
tiempo máximo de internación de una semana, las patologías asociadas que
presentaron fueron cardiopatías en su mayoría, siendo amamantados durante las
primeras cinco horas luego de su nacimiento y su primer alimento durante la
internación fue leche materna a través de sonda orogástrica, nopudiéndose
prender al pecho materno por presentar incoordinación en la succión- deglución,
logrando ser estimulados por el personal de Enfermería, se fueron de alta médica
tomando pecho materno y biberón.

SUMMARY
With the purpose ofknowing as is the factors that influence in the fulfillment
of exclusive the maternal lactancia until the six months of life, in the babies with
Syndrome of Down, which they were born in 2012 and 2013 in the Service of
Neonatology of the Virgin Obstetrical Hospital of the Mercy, OSEP, Mendoza, was
made this study which it is of descriptive type, of retrospective cross section, with a
population oftwenty (20) mothers of the babies mentioned previously, to those who
with previous informed consent a survey was applied to them like technique of data
collection type questionnaire of 15 items, with answers of multiple option.
The obtained results were reflected in statistical graphs, demonstrating that
most of the babies were born between 31 and 37 weeks of gestation, such were
committed in theService of Neonatology, with a maximum time of internment of
one week, the associate pathologies that presented/displayed were cardiopathies
in their majority, being nursed during the first five hours after their birth and its first
food during the internment was maternal milk through orogástrica sounding, not
being able to catch to the maternal chest to present/display incoordination in the
suctionswallowing, being obtained to be stimulated by the personnel of Infirmary,
they went of medical discharge taking maternal chest and baby's bottle.
