ABSTRACT
La presente investigación está enfocada en los factores motivacionales que afectan el aprendizaje de la comprensión auditiva en alumnos de segundo medio. Para este propósito se analizaron las distintas teorías con respecto a la motivación y los diversos enfoques metodológicosacerca del aprendizaje de una segunda lengua, en especial del desarrollo de la comprensión auditiva. Los resultados obtenidos arrojaron datos importantes respecto a los factores que afectaban el aprendizaje, como lo es la motivación extrínseca. Además se pudo observar una diferencia significativa entre los resultados de los dos grupos a los cuáles se les aplicó los instrumentos derecolección de datos, especialmente en los resultados de la evaluación de comprensión auditiva.
