The College Board is a not-for-profit membership association whose mission is to connectstudents to college
success and opportunity. Founded in 1900, the association is composed of more than 5,000 schools, colleges,
universities, and other educationalorganizations. Each year, the College Board serves seven million students
and their parents, 23,000 high schools, and 3,500 colleges through major programs and services in collegeadmissions, guidance, assessment, financial aid, enrollment, and teaching and learning. Among its best-known
programs are the SAT®, the PSAT/NMSQT®, and the Advanced PlacementProgram® (AP®). The College Board is
committed to the principles of excellence and equity, and that commitment is embodied in all of its programs,
services, activities, andconcerns.
Introducción: El propósito de esta guía es proveer información esencial que ayude a preparar al
estudiante con un mayor grado de confianza para presentar la nueva Prueba deAptitud Académica del College
Board. La guía contiene la descripción de la Prueba de Aptitud Académica (PAA) y ofrece explicaciones de los
diferentes tipos de ejercicios ysugerencias sobre cómo prepararse para contestarlos. Ofrece, además, algunas
sugerencias para usar el tiempo adecuadamente durante la Prueba y de cómo responder correctamente a unejercicio difícil. Finalmente, se incluye una muestra de la Prueba de Aptitud Académica, una hoja para las
respuestas y una explicación de cómo se corrige la Prueba.
