What
made
Thatcherism
such
a
successful
policy?
“The
new
ruler
must
determine
all the
injuries
that
he
will
need
to
inflict.
He
must
inflict
them
once
and
for
all.”

A-‐Plan
of
the Investigation
As
stated
in
the
title
of
this
document,
my
topic
will
have
focus
on
Thatcherism,
which
name
comes
from
the
famous
British
Prime
Minister,
Margaret
Thatcher,
the
one
who
established
this
set
of
political,
economic
and social
doctrines
during
her
time
in
the
position.
During
this
investigation,
I
will
concentrate
mainly
on
questioning
why
Thatcherism
became
such
a
successful
doctrine
despite
being
so
unpopular
among
the
majority
of
the
British population
and
how
come
Thatcher
managed
to
stay
for
a
very
long
time
in
the
same
position.
Of
course,
there
are
many
factors
dealing
with
it
and
I
will
try
to
cover
most
of
them,
by
following
a
careful
review
of
all
of
them.
To
do
my
investigation
I
will
use
a
big
variety
of
primary
sources
with
the
objective
of
having
a
bigger
chance
of
having
a
deeper
analysis
on
my
own
and
give
a
careful
interpretation
on
the
reviewed
material.
As
well, I
will
use
a
few
secondary
sources,
to
use
them
as
a
guide
for
my
investigation,
like
a
sort
of
blueprint
and
example
of
how
a
historical
investigation
will
be
written.
I
plan
to
use
stats,
quotes
and
references
of
different
documents
to
support
my
investigation.
With
this,
I
hope
I
will
stay
on
track
to
answer
my
question
previously
stated.
