Act ONE

FADE IN:

Int. – KRANKO AND TRANK

The soft light from the TV set illuminated Kranko´s face as he softly rocked back and forth, watching the static without even blinking.

And yet, there was something thoughtful, in his eyes as if he were paying attention to someone talking to him.

The house was unusually empty,everything was clean and the furniture, of great taste, was perfectly in place. Nothing disturbed the house, but the dull sound coming from the TV.

KRANKO

Shhhhhhh

(Rocking)

YES MASTER EVIL, quiet. I’m quiet. I’ll do as you say. Not a word but lots of action. BLOOD...RED...BLOOOOOOOD

(Starts sweating as his eyes get deeper)


A wicked smile slowly appears in Kranko´s face as he thinksabout blood. The autistic rabbit was hypnotized. No feelings in his senseless heart. His mind was flooded by static and buzzing sounds. But he, only he, could hear his MASTER EVIL, the words in between the static.

KRANKO

Power, my MASTER EVIL, feed me the power. Give me the strength to do your will. Force is power, power to rule, to give and take, take, take...

(Fades into his thoughts)KRANKO rises to his feet and approaches the TV set. Suddenly, the soft glow brightens up for a second, Kranko nods and turns it off.

KRANKO

I must...red...blood...my MASTER EVIL!!!

After that, he lets himself fall down on the floor. Twirls swirls and moans as if in pain. Sits back up, eyes faded, lost and begins rocking again. He is back to his usual autistic self.

KRANKOShhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Trank, his brother, enters the room and sees Kranko as usual, but with the TV set off. Hears his brother hushing and starts whistling, just to bother

TRANK

(Annoyed)

Kranko!!!!!!

KRANKO

Shhhhhhh!!!! MASTER EVIL needs quiet, peace and quiet.

TRANK

(Laughing)

MASTER EVIL? Needs peace and quiet? What? (Whistle)

You little world-less boy, are pretending to tellme you have a MASTER EVIL? I am TRANK, your brother, you obey me and mom. No other MASTER EVIL exists for you. You barely exist; you have no mind, no words, and no voice...much less a MASTER EVIL.

(Laugh)

You, have a MASTER EVIL? Sure...all right baby bro...What-e-ver

KRANKO

Maybe, you’d like to meet him yourself?

(He raises and stares at Trank with his deep red eyes)

TRANKPerhaps I would.

KRANKO lowers his face gently and glares maliciously at his brother.

KRANKO

Red...much red...MASTER EVIL wants blood and I want red...you are going to meet him NOW!!!

TRANK

You’re talking too much today, little bro...What’s going on in your mind?

KRANKO

Come, meet my MASTER EVIL!

KRANKO raises his hand with a harsh look in his eyes. With his hand he bringsTrank closer. With some kind of psychic power he moves Trank around the room. The TV turns on, by itself. There’s static again. Trank cannot believe his eyes. At once TRANK is thrown into the TV and then back toward KRANKO as a piece of dead meat. Some blood comes out of his mouth, staining Kranko´s hands.

Kranko leaves Trank lying there and goes to his room and paints a piece of paper with hisbloody hands. Goes back to the living room and approaches Trank.

TRANK

(Desperately, in a faint whisper)

KRANKO, wait! No! What are you doing? I’m your bro-

(Faints, looking almost as a dead person)



Now, KRANKO gently lowers his face towards his brothers and blows softly into his nose. Trank opens his eyes. His skin has turned pale, almost yellowish, and his eyes have becomeblood red.

KRANKO

I thought you might agree to help me once you had met my MASTER EVIL. Was it a good trip?

(Laugh)

Now we’ll both have the power to serve him.

TRANK

(In a deep, grunting voice)

I will help you. Our MASTER EVIL has shown me the way. We’ll make a great team.

KRANKO

Excellent, your size is more than perfect and the fact that you like being a bully... my...
