Who where the Aztecs ?
The Aztec people were certain ethnic groups of central Mexico They spoke the Nahuatl language They wrote mixed pictograms
Who where the Aztecs ?
- Theybuilt grand cities. They built a great nation in the middle of a huge lake.
- The named their city was Tenochtitlan, founded in 1325
Who where the Aztecs ?
- The religion was the most importantthing in their culture (polythestic) - The Center of the empire was the Valley of Mexico - They built canoes, so they could fish and hunt birds that lived near the water
Who where the Aztecs ?Great builders - The Aztecs built stone canals to bring water to the city. The city had huge temples, a busy market, clean streets, and magnificent palaces.

- They were very educated - The were great in mathematics, architecture, building, astronomy, medicine - The Aztecs studied astronomy and created acalendar much like the Mayan calendar - The Aztecs also knew many different uses for plants that could be used for medicine.

- People who was conquered by aztecas had to paytribute, or give them food, gold, clothing. - The Aztecs controlled a huge trade network. - The crops were : corn, chilies, fruits - Aztec economy was based in agriculture

-They were very religious people - They worshipped many gods - They had a god for almost everything. - They did daily sacrifices - They believed that the moon and the sun were gods. - The Aztecs gotprisoners of war to sacrifice. They never killed their enemies.
