Summary:
Buck is a Huskee that used to live in California; he had a very good life inthere. But, one day some thieves took him and sold him to pay a bill, so, Buck is taken to Alaska.
In Alaska he is acquired by a Canadian couple, thatcouple trained him as sled dog, easily he learned how to survive in very cold weathers and he became part of the wolf pack. He is sold several timesimproving as a sled dog and becoming leader of the wolf pack. Later Buck is purchased by a Hal, his wife and his wife´s brother. This people didn´tknew how to keep dogs or use sleds. They mistreated them and the other dogs. They couldn´t use sleds on the beginning of spring because, the ice wasmelting. In the middle of the road one person called John Thornton, an expert explorer told them that they shouldn´t continue, besides Buck refusedto continue, after a fight Thornton was the new owner of Buck, when Hal´s family tried to cross a frozen lake, the floor broke and they died.Thornton and Buck become very close, they used to go and look for gold, and one day Buck become friend with a local wolf and became familiar with this otherwolf pack. After hunting one day Buck found Thornton dead with his friends, they were killed by a local tribe called Yeehats; Buck killed some ofthem days later to take revenge for Thornton’s death.
Buck became the leader of the wolf pack and every year he visits the place where his master died.
