Answer these questions:
1. Define control:
Can be defined as the process of monitoring activities to ensure that they are being accomplished asplanned and correcting any significant deviations.
2. Describe the three approaches to control:
A. Market control: Is an approach to control that emphasizes the use of external market mechanism, such as price competition and relative market share, to establish the standards used in the control system. This approach is typically used by organizations in which the firm’s products or services areclearly specified and distinct and where there’s considerable marketplace.
B. Bureaucratic Control: This emphasizes organizational authority and relies on administrative rules, regulations, procedures, and policies. This type of control depends on standardization of activities, well-defined job descriptions, and other administrative mechanism, such as budgets, to ensure that employees exhibitappropriate behaviors and meet performance standards.
C. Clan Control: Employee behaviors are regulated by the shared values, norms, traditions, rituals, beliefs, and other aspects of the organization’s culture.

3. Explain what control is important:
Control is important, therefore, because it’s the final link in the functional chain of management activities. It’s the only way managers know whetherorganizational goals are being met and why they are or are not. The specific value of the control function, however, lies in its relation to planning and delegating activities.

4. Distinguish between the three types of control:
Market Control
Bureaucratic Control
Clan Control
It uses market mechanisms. Face market competition and budget
Well-defined job descriptions and budgets to ensurethat employees demonstrate appropriate behaviors
Observed and regulated mainly by the culture and traditions of the companies. Common in companies that are constantly updated

5. What is the role of control in management?:
An effective control system ensures that activities are completed in ways that lead to the achievement of organizational goals. The criterion which determines the efficiency ofa control system is how well it facilitates the achievement of goals. The more help managers carry out goals of your organization, the better the control system.
6. Contrast market, bureaucratic and clan control:
Market Control
Bureaucratic Control
Clan Control
And marketing budgets and competition is the main factor in this type of control.
The behaviors and standards are the basis forthis control.
Shared culture and traditions are the basis for this type of control system.

7. How are planning and controlling linked?:
By planning we can organize the tasks by either major and establishing control in the planning we get are met, the control that is used for employees to achieve complete planning techniques are used as motivation, comparison, communication, leadership achievingobjectives and control technique that is efficient and effective and do not deviate from the objectives.
