The enchantress Circe

After going to Cyclops’s island, Odysseus and his men land at a beautiful island called Aeolia.
The king Aoleos gave them amagic bag of stormy wind that would help them to go home.
The curious men opened the bag without permission and the stormy wind escaped from the bag.
Thewinds blow them far away to another island called Laestrygonians where giant cannibals live.
Only one of the ships survived, it was the one in whichOdysseus was traveling.
Then Odysseus’s ship escaped to a land where the enchantress and beautiful goddess Circe lived, the place was called Aeaea.
As themen explored the island, Odysseus stayed on the ship talking with Alcinous.

The men had found a passage where extraordinary animals were resting. Butthey did not know that Circe bewitched them.
Some of these animals looked humbly to men.
When they approached the entrance, they heard a beautiful voiceand decided to approach, they saw a beautiful woman singing.
Polites said, "oh she is beautiful! Lets go to say hello"
They approached with calm. Circeheard them, so she invited them.
Eurylochus suspected something bad was going to happen and because of that he didn’t approach.
The other men came inwith Circe and she treated them like kings.
Then she offered them a magic drink, but when they drank it they transformed into pigs!
Eurylochus waswatching and ran with Odyseus. When he get with him, he could not speak because he was afraid and the only thing he could say was: "our friends Were Gone...”
