The Global Warming
The first effect of global warming is the way that affects the weather. Since some decades hot days are hotter, rainfall and flooding are heavier, hurricanes stronger and droughts moresevere. The most visible effect of global warming is the intensification of weathers in our daily lives (National Wildlife magazine). Us as a tropical island can noticed that hurricanes seasons arelonger and with more tropical storms. The 20th century's last two decades were the hottest in 400 years and possibly the warmest for several millennia, according to a number of climate studies (NationalGeographic).
The second effect it’s one that we’ll regret in the future. Tropical forests are home to more than half of all species on Earth, and their destruction means the extinction of countlessplant and wildlife species, many still unknown to science (Conservation International). Also, forests are important ecosystems in the balance of nature, they provide us thing for human daily basics.As matter of fact, forests are the lungs of planet Earth. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, halting deforestation and restoring already degraded areas while adopting moreforest-friendly agriculture and management practices would prevent the emission of more than 300 billion tons of carbon dioxide over the next 40 years (Conservation International).
