The History of the jean

The history of jeans dates back to the nineteenth century in 1853, when the gold rush in the mines in the western U.S.

 

Its creation is the brainchild of a seller ofBavarian origin, at age 23 found that Fortune was there for those who seek it. He was selling in the mining areas of the United States, stout cloth for making tents and awnings for the carts.Equipment sales were poor so he had analyzed the market and decided that what they really needed those pants men were strong enough to withstand the rigors of that job end. And so the first born jeans.The name, Jean, comes from the word Genoa, and from there was brought to the fabric, a tough and durable brown canvas with which the first jeans were made.

The first models, simple, spacious, withsuspenders and brown, inspired Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis to register as the first blue jeans brand that made since and no tent fabric but cotton resistant to wear and abuse, became part of thecustoms of the Americans.

 

The new material that replaced the canvas was a cotton twill fabric, he was surprised by the quality of dyeing called serge de Nimes, has been the most consumed materialin history and today is known as Denim. Only one detail was missing and that he was advised by a tailor in Carson City: rivets at stress points. This was born Jean we know today.

Jean left thefarms and mines when World War II begins. The Marshall Plan was in his charge to the military bases a basic basket of food and blue jeans. They left the field to stay forever.

For the sixties andseventies the garment becomes a weapon in the process of equality.It is used by blacks, the poor, the rich, the hippies, men and women alike. Unisex fashion and the kids arrived were allowed to grow hairand the girls lost the forms with an extremely thin as well as covering their bodies with broad T-shirts and sweatshirts.
