THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST

Jack Worthing has a secret. On the one hand, enjoys a quiet and respectable life in the countryside, where he is aprotector of the beautiful (and fabulously rich) Cecily Cardew. But on the other, when he need more incentive, Jack escapes to London, where it assumes theguise of whimsical Ernest Worthing, his imaginary brother. Ernesto is a dissolute man with strong preferences for extravagant life, something which heshares with his close friend Algy Moncrieff.
However, the aim of the last trip Jack is propose marriage to Algy's cousin, Gwendolen. Gwendolen is convincedthat his destiny is to marry a man named Ernest, ignorant of the true identity of Jack, willingly accepts the offer. However, the mother of Gwendolen,Lady Bracknell's feared, has other plans for her daughter.
When lady Bracknell's asks to Jack for their social references, discovers the truth: it wasfound, as a baby in a bag left in Victoria Station, so it denied his consent. Jack is now required to dispose of Ernesto and find some evidence of theirancestry, if it is to ever marry Gwendolen. Meanwhile, Algy, takes advantage of the dramatic situation of his friend and decides to visit his beloved Cecily.When presented himself as Ernesto, he discovers that Cecily has long delighted harbor their own fantasies about marrying the errant brother. It producesthe arrow and immediately decide to marry. But when Jack returns to the field with the news that his brother is dead, things get seriously complicated.
