What aspects do you have to take into account when you are going to plan activity? The importance of motivation and the significant contents in second language acquisition.

Teaching is an art that conglomerates various skills together. Along with the profound knowledge of the concerned subject, we, as teachers, ought tohave the skills to impart our knowledge effectively. The importance and utility of teaching aids in the process of teaching cannot be undermined. It is not just enough to be a good teacher, as you also need certain teaching aids at your disposal. Lesson plan is one such important educational tool that allows the teachers to plan their lessons beforehand. Before we delve deeper into the nuances ofhow to write a lesson plan, let us try to explore the purpose of lesson plan.
Lesson plan allows the teacher to plan and organize his lesson. Meticulously planned lessons are anytime better than spontaneous lectures, where the teacher himself is not aware of half the things. Planning the lesson beforehand allows the teacher to gather some insight on what the lesson is all about, what are theteaching aids at his disposal and what is the final outcome expected. This information can be of immense importance for a substitute teacher, if you have to avail a leave without prior notice.
However, planning a lesson is not just thinking and writing what the teacher is going to teach. It involves thinking about many aspects of the class, the reality, goals, etc. As we are going to explain below,there are some key points I should look at before and while I plan my lesson.
* Objectives set out to be achieved.
* Prior knowledge of learners.
* Materials and didactic auxiliaries to be used.
* Tasks and activities to select and students’ grouping patterns.
* Interaction modes.
* Timing and time management.
The first thing to consider, obviously, is what I want to teach.This should be developed based upon our National Curriculum. I also need to be aware of what grade level I am developing the lesson plan for, and also record an estimated time for my lesson plan to help in time budgeting. Once I have your topic, I can begin determining how I want to teach the topic. Having the lesson plan correctly aligned with the National Curriculum helps to prove its worthinessand necessity. It also helps in assuring that my students are being taught what my state requires.
To make sure the lesson plan will teach what I want it to, I need to develop clear and specific objectives. This is the first step while planning a lesson plan. I have to set certain objectives for my class to achieve. For instance, while planning a math lesson for basic arithmetic for elementarykids, I set a goal that by the end of the lesson, my students should be able to perform simple additions. I should also set long term goals so that I can evaluate the progress of my students at the end of year. I should be able to tell if the goal can be accomplished or not. Objectives should not be activities that will be used in the lesson plan. They should instead be the learning outcomes ofthose activities. As an example, if I wanted to teach my class how to add 2 + 3, my objective may be that "students will know how to add 2 + 3" or more specifically "students will demonstrate how to add 2 + 3."
While planning a lesson for my class, it is of utmost importance that I know my students well. I take into account various factors such as the subject, the age of the kids, their interest,their academic progress, etc. This information will help me to plan my lesson wisely. Also, I will be able to distribute my time according to the strength and weaknesses of my students. Certain sections in the lesson may require more time than the rest. This is particularly true when you think about how to write a lesson plan for elementary school children with diverse interests.
