Description of Behaviour Policy:
It is the policy of my school that all persons will be treated with respect and valued.
The school is committed to providinga safe environment for all pupils, staff and visitors.
Many behaviour problems arise from an ineffective, inappropriate curriculum environment or poor communication systems, the school paysattention to these areas as to prevent many of the behavioural issues that could occur.
At the school are ‘The Golden Rules’ which entail the following:
1.Treat people kindly
2.Listen to each other
3.Lookafter our school environment
4.Do our best
These rules were divised by the School Council in 2009.
AIMS stated in the policy are:

My school has a range of strategies aimed at preventing as well as managing challenging behaviour.Pupils respond best to an environment that is ‘emotionally secure’ with expectations, rewards and consequences which are clear and consistent.
