The Lost Colony

Long long ago, many men, women, and children sailed from England to a new island where their lives would start over. This island, the Roanoke Island, was in its longest periods of dryness. There wasno rain, the trees were dying, there was little fruit and animals. The colony thought they brought enough supplies to survive enough time until they learned how to survive in this new place.As time passed, they had settled down in the Roanoke Island, and they were running out of supplies. The colony asked John White, the commander, to sail back to England to get more supplies and moremen. After a while, White considered his tribe's situation , he accepted to sail to England for more supplies. On 1587, White sailed back to England. Unfortunately, England was using all its boats in awar. Mean while, the colony was suffering of hunger and cold. The supplies were running out, so the colonists made a small boat to see where it could take them. They arrived to an island nameCroatoan. Croatoan Island was filled with supplies. The surviving colonists were settling their lives in the new island.
The colonists thought they were the only humans on the island, but theydidn't know that the island had a Native American tribe called Croatoan. The tribe spotted the colonists every day. One day, a colonist wanted to explore the forest and look for more fruits.Unfortunately, the Croatoan tribe men were watching. He saw a reflection of one of the men, the colonist tried to attack, but he didn't have a strong weapon. The men killed him. The colonists were starting toworry, that the colonist never came back. Five men decided to go to the forest and find out what happened. They found his body, and saw a man observing them. When the men came back to the colony, theyexplained all they knew about the Croatoan tribe.
