Hosting Olympic Games is an honor. This time London has achieved this honor and the 30th modern Olympic Games will commence in East London. London has become theone and only city in the world to host the Olympic Games three times. London had hosted Olympic Games in 1908 and 1948 earlier. The most awaited event, London Olympics 2012 (two thousand twelve) willonset from 27th of July 2012 to 12th August 2012. British authorities state that the development of London Olympic 2012 venue is in progress and is expected to be completed much before the date of theevent. It is also stated that test events will be conducted to evaluate the appropriateness of the developed stadium. International Olympic Committee made several trips and during their recent tourto the venue, they were pleased to see the quality and progress of preparation. One of the most exciting factors of the event is the London’s Olympic Stadium which is specially designed for theoccasion. It is believed that over $850 million has been spent on preparing the stadium that will host opening ceremony as well as the closing ceremony of the happening along with track and fieldathletics. The stadium can accommodate approximately 80,000 spectators and is believed to be ready by 2011summer.
