THE PRINCESS AND THE PEA

There are many people who think they know what it means to be a princess. This story is a reminder that things aren’t always, as they seem.
Once upon a time, there was apowerful queen that accepted nothing less than the best, and so she wanted also the best for her son, so when it was time for him to be married, she told him: “You deserve the best woman in the wholeworld, don’t marry to just a normal princess. Remember that a real princess is not just the daughter of a king and queen; a real princess is delicate, refined, well educated, and she wears theloveliest dresses. And don’t forget that she must have the voice of an angel”.
Afterwards, the prince left to find his princess, and travelled for several days. When she arrived to next kingdom, the kingand the queen were really impressed by how handsome and polite he was, so they introduced their daughter to him. When he saw the princess, he thought she was very beautiful. “Hello, Princess” said dethe Prince. “Hello” answered the Princess. Her voice was terrible, and what his mother had told him, came to his mind: “Don’t forget that she must has the voice of an angel”. So the Prince left as heinvented an excuse to go. When he arrived to the next kingdom, he entered to the castle and asked to meet the Princess. She was also very beautiful, but she was eating like a pig with food around allher mouth. Again, the Prince said goodbye quickly, and he continued on travelling around all the kingdoms, but every time he met the Princess, he found disappointment.
Finally, the Prince gave up andreturned home, still unmarried and sad. When he arrived home, he told his parents everything. That night, there was a terrible storm, and someone knocked the door. The Prince opened it, and he wasreally surprised when he saw a beautiful woman that said: “My driver got lost in the rain, I am a Princess, would you be kind to provide us shelter for tonight?” The prince was amazed by her voice...
