The XXI century is the present we live in today. It is the first century of the third millennium, and officially comprises between2001 and 2100. In this century, so far there have been many significant events, like the death of Pope John Paul II, the election of the first black U.S. president, the threat of swine flu pandemic,etc.. One of the most important events that shocked the world certainly was the collapse of the Twin Towers in New York on September 11, 2001.
The XXI century is characterized by the advance andexpansion of digitization and the control of information globally. With the "mass media" (newspapers, radio, television) and Internet news, information, education and entertainment reach more andmore people. New patterns emerged for social relations, new forms of interpersonal communication and new entertainment. There is more information on the citizens of the state, formed megacities. There isa lower birth rate than before, so the population increased, the greater presence of women in the workplace, etc.. No doubt the current century and all its progress has brought many great benefits tohumanity.
As in all times, in the current century catastrophic events have occurred that have marked humanity. Such is the case of the landslide of the Twin Towers on September 11 2001.Cuatroairliners were hijacked en route to California from Boston International Airport, the Dulles International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport . The four planes were bound for California,the first three planes to LA and the last plane to San Francisco. The first two planes crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, a third into the Pentagon in Arlington County, nearWashington DC, and the fourth in the open field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
The kidnappers had taken control of them using simple knives with which flight attendants were killed and at least one...
