THE UNHAPPY GHOST
(Level 3)
                Kate and Sally are sisters.
                They are twins.
                It´s nigth time now.
                The twins are in bed.                It is eleven o´clock. It´s dark.
                Kate isn´t sleeping.
                She can hear a strange noise.
                Clonk-clonk! Clonk-clonk!
                "Listen, Sally", Kate says.                But Sally doesn´t answer.
                She is sleeping.
                Tap-tap! Tap-tap!
                "Wake up, Sally", Kate Says.
                "What´s the matter?" Sally sayssleepily.
                "Listen! there is a noise!"
                "I can´t hear a noise", Sally says.
                "Sshh! Listen! There it is!" Kate says.
                Clonk-clonk! Clonk-clonk!                Tap-tap! Tap-tap!
                "Is it a ghost?", Kate says.
                "No, it isn´t", Sally says.
                "It is the wind. Now be quiet, Kate. I want to sleep.                I´m tired".
                It´s twelve o´clock.
                Kate isn´t slepping. She is listening.
                Clonk-clonk! Clonk-clonk! Tap-tap! Woo-woo!
               "Wake up, Sally", Kate Says.
                "What´s the matter now?"
                Sally says crossly.
                "Listen! It´s a ghost."
                Woo-woo! Woo-woo!                "That isn´t a ghost, " Sally says.
                "It´s the wind in the chimney."
                Woo-woo! Woo-woo!
                The noise is louder and louder.
                "Oh no!" Kate says. "I´m scared".                Kate jumps into Sally´s bed.
                Suddenly a ghost comes down the chimney.
                The ghost is all white.
                Woo-woo! Woo-woo!                The ghost says.
                It jumps on the bed.
                Woo-woo! Woo-woo!
                The ghost says very loudly.
