United Kingdom
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is commonly known as the United Kingdom, the UK or Britain. It’s located in the northwestern coast of continental Europe. It is an island country formed for an archipelago that includes Great Britain, the northeastern part of Ireland, and a lot of small islands.

The United Kingdom consists of four countries: England,Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. It is governed by a parliamentary system of London, the capital, but it has also three devolved national administrations in Belfast, Cardiff and Edinburgh, the capitals of Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland. The Channel Island bailiwicks of Jersey and Guernsey, and the Isle of Man are not part of the UK. The UK has fourteen overseas territories.
But there is alot of confusion with the terms:
The British Isles is the name of England, Scotland, Wales, and the island of Ireland.
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is the name of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and all the little islands.
Britain –or Great Britain- is just the island which includes England, Scotland and Wales.
England is just a part of the UnitedKingdom.
The Republic of Ireland is Southern Ireland, but is independent (not included on the UK).
