Wilbur and Orville Wright were the first American aviation pioneers in manufacture of plane with engine.

They were inseparable, until the death ofWilbur in 1912. Their personalities were complementary. Orville was full of ideas and enthusiasms. Wilbur was steadier in his habits, more mature in his judgments.
Wilbur wanted to go to Yale andstudy to be a clergyman. But he suffered a facial injury while playing hockey, so he could not continue his education and for three years he studied in his father's library.
Later, they began their ownbusiness, West Side News, as printers producing everything from religious handouts to commercial fliers.
