TIPOS DE CONTENEDORES
* Dry Van: Este contenedor es el más usado en el mundo porque es estándar, se puede llevar casi cualquier carga, gracias a su versatibilidad,son cerrados herméticamente y sinventilación o refrigeración.

* High Cube: Contenedor estándar mayoritariamente de 40 pies su característica principal es su sobre altura (9,6 pies).

* Reefer:Contenedores refrigerados, que cuentan con un sistema de conservación de frío o calor y termostato. Deben ir conectados en el buque y en la Terminal, incluso en el camión si fuese posible o en ungenerador externo, funcionan bajo corriente trifásica.

* Open Top: Contenedor con la parte superior abierta, permite transportar mercancías que no se estropeen si están al descubierto. Puede sobresalir la mercancía pero, en ese caso, se pagan suplementos en función de cuánta carga haya dejado de cargarse por este exceso.
