Brave New World
2. Genetic engineering, conditioning, and use of soma. How are these elements used in the book and how can you relate them with real life.

The brave new world is a kind of newcivilization with a new form of life with some different aspects as the ones we’re related to. The process of birth hereworks in the following way: when someone needs a person with some special skill they prepare the embryo and experiment with them till they are ready and born. It’s supposed to be a method to create a better living world because they love what they are, theirprofession, even if it’s a bad one. Then comes the thing about this “Soma”, it’s like the kind of “drug” they use, as I mentioned before, they have no feelings, there’s no love and no suffering, that’sall because of the soma. They use it as a way to escape from the feelings, feelings are taken as “bad” because they have an idea that it guides you to suffering, that’s why they inject themselves...
