Life in the precisions in Puerto Rico

For a person to be prosecuted in court must have three basic elements
1. The individual must be physically and mentally fit forthe process
2. Has to be represented by counsel
3. The prosecutor must prove beyond a reasonable down doubts, if so it will put a bond, the same cannot pay the bailwill be admitted to an institution like sumariado
Prisons systems --> it starts with the justice department. The person first had to have a trial. It could be by rights orby jury. The jury is composed by 12 people. The jury determinates if the person innocent or guilty. The trial most passes different steps.

3--> the jury decides if the person is innocent or not- innocent.
If the jury decides that the person is guilty, the judge shalldetermine the sentence. The person will be taken to a penal institution for the first admissions process. This process involves a medical evaluation and then passed to thecustody classification that divides in three branches this are maximum, medium and minimum. The person will clacificado according to their crimes, after being rated the samewill be placed according to their level of custody.


There will relapse when they have been convicted and sentenced for a felony commits another felony again. In thistype of recurrence is increased by half the fixed penalty provided by law for the offense committed.
The guards in the prisons are Corrections officers, also known asdetention officers. They are responsible for supervising prisoners, enforcing rules, and maintaining security in local, state, and federal correctional facilities.
