In this set of materials, the information stated on the listening passage casts doubt on the conclusion deduced in the reading passage.
In the reading passage it is said that the problem of the university department is that there is a lack of experience in their graduates, which leads to a decay of the department reputation. The solution given for this problem is to make a changeon the curriculum.
In the listening passage, it is stated information that challenges what was previous stablished in the reading passage. Unlike the reading passage, that states that the change will be efective for all the students, the listening passage points that the change of the curriculum will be efective only for the new students of the graduate program. Also in the listening passage itis said that it is strongly recommended for the students that are already in the program to take the two courses that the new curriculum has incorporated. It is obvious that this is only a suggestion since students that are already in the program can not be force to take it. In the long run it will be beneficial for the current students, because they will be more prepared.

In thisset of materials, the listening passage gives us a conclusion that adds to the conclusion given in the reading passage.
In the reading passage, it is stated that there are two ways that people behave when they are in groups. The first one occurs in large groups and it is called deinvidualization while the second one is called polarization.This two behaviors are related with antisocial actions.In the listening passage, it is given examples of different situations when this two process occur but with a different kind of action: prosocial. As is stated in the reading passage the deinvidualization makes people to behave in a different way that they would do when they are alone. It is stated in the listening passage that this process also leads to a prosocial behavior and the examplesprovided say that this can occur when people share emotional feelings after a natural disaster, or after an exciting contest. The same occurs with the polarization process. For instance it occurs when people in a town have suffered of bullying individually, and then they gather to take an action against the bully.
To return to the main point of the question, the listening passage adds thecharacter of prosocial behavior to the antisocial behavior that is stated in the reading passage.

Many people usually concerns about the grades they get, and what is more they are always looking for the easy way to get them without realizing what is really good for them. In this context some prefer a system based on exams but I strongly think that a system based on class participation isthe best for several reasons that will be discussed in the paragraphs below.
First of all, I consider this method of evaluation the most beneficial for your learning. Due to the fact that learning is a process it is better to evaluate the students in every moment and not only with a few tests. In this way you are able to see your progress through the whole period that your course lasts. It happensmany times that you spend a whole night studying for a next morning exam and then you get an excellent grade but next day you forget all that was supposed you have learned. It clearly reflects that evaluation based on exams is not the best for your learning.
Also this system obligates you to go to all the classes. This is an important reason because if you assist to all the classes you willhave a better understanding of the course you are taking. More over you will know what the keys of the course are. There are many cases when students never go to classes, they just show up for the exams and in the end they pass the course. I strongly believe students should be forbidden of passing a course if they have not assisted a minimum amount of classes.
