RESUMEN
EL Thymus Vulgaris l. “tomillo”, es una planta con muchas propiedades, medicínales las que destacan como antinflamatorio, antiséptico, antibacteriano, ya que se en este trabajo, recopilando todos los datos se llega a conclusión que contiene muchos compuestos como: timol,carvacrol, borneol, linaol, cimeno, pineno, dipenteno y acetato de bornila), un principio amargo, tanino y materias resinosas y pépticas, responsables de dichos efectos.
El aceite esencial de hojas de Thymus Vulgaris l. “tomillo”, se ha obtenido por el método de extracción hidroalcohólico. El aceite esencial extraído fue sometido a prueba de solubilidad, análisis fitoquímico. En el cual se pudodeterminar que en la prueba de solubilidad, con etanol (700,960), agua destilada, acetona, n-butano y metanol, dio como resultado que insoluble a l n-hexano, demostrando así que esta sustancia es insoluble a esta.
En el análisis fitoquímico, se comprobó la presencia de azucares reductores, como glucosa, lactosa, la maltosa, aldehídos, alcaloides, y usando el reactivo de tricloruro de hierro se pudocomprobar e identificar la presencia de fenoles.
De esta manera estos análisis, y la obtención de sus aceite esencial, podemos realizar otros estudios farmacológicos y poder usarlos como medicina alternativa natural.

SUMARY
Thymus Vulgaris l. "Thyme", is a plant with many properties, most notably asmedicinal anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial, and that in this work, compiling all data reaches conclusion contains many compounds such as thymol, carvacrol, borneol, linaol , cymene, pinene, and bornila dipenteno acetate), a bitter principle, tannin and resinous materials and peptic responsible for these effects.
The essential oil of Thymus vulgaris leaves l. "Thyme" was obtained byhydroalcoholic extraction method. The extracted essential oil was tested for solubility, phytochemical analysis. In which it was determined that the solubility test with ethanol (700.960), distilled water, acetone, n-butane and methanol resulted in insoluble in n-hexane, demonstrating that this substance is insoluble at this.
Phytochemical analysis, the presence of reducing sugars such as glucose,lactose, maltose, aldehydes, and alkaloid was found, and using the iron trichloride reagent could check and identify the presence of phenols.
Thus this analyzes, and obtaining their essential oil, can make other pharmacological studies and save them as a natural alternative medicine.
