Botanical Lodge, An ecological enclave located 80 kilometres away from the city of Iquitos, on the edge of the majestic Amazon River, in deep primary jungle – an ideal location for taking hikes to see the local flora and fauna. Our botanical garden has a huge number of tremendous trees, notably the giant Lupuna or Ceiba, it also has a number of medicinalplants such as the ‘Sangre de Grado’ – ‘Clavo Huasca’ – ‘Oje’ – ‘Chuchuhuasi’ – ‘Ajos Sacha’ and ‘Uña de Gato’ amongst others, also the hallucinogenic ‘Ayahuasca’. This stunning environment is complemented by our comfortable set of private bungalows with en suite, protected from insects and with a relaxing hammock area perfect for reading. With artificial lighting from 17.30 to 22.00 hours, thevisitor will enjoy a wonderfully comfortable environment that will make for a greatly enjoyable stay.
Our bilingual guides are experts in the mysteries of the forest and their personal touch will make your visit to the Amazon Rainforest an unforgettable experience. The food is regional and varied, we can offer vegetarian options if necessary (please do let us know).Caucho (2 days/1 night)
First day.
A tour around the centre of the city to get to know the most significant landmarks, some of which are from the rubber boom followed (subject to arrival time)
Transfer to the lodge by boat down the Amazon. Visit the ‘paiche’ farm – the largest fresh water fish; during the transfer we will notevarious different communities on the banks of the Amazon. Arriving to the lodge we will be welcomed with a local drink and will find our rooms. One night in the Amazon Botanical Lodge with full board. Take the ‘medicinal plant’ walk and get to know ‘uña de gato’, ‘sangre de grado’ and ‘clavo huasca’ among others. Enjoy spectacular views of the Amazon from a well placed viewpoint and finish the daywith a night walk to see tarantulas and insects.
Second day.
Get to know the local birds in their natural habitat and take a ride in a canoe near the lodge. We will see a native tribe, the Yaguas. Visit to a small zoo to see the anaconda, some species of monkeys among other animals.

Caoba 1 (3 days/2 nights)
First day.

Arriving to the lodge we will be welcomed with a local drink and will find our rooms. Two nights in the Amazon Botanical Lodge with full board. Take the ‘medicinal plant.’ walk and get to know ‘uña de gato’, ‘sangre de grado’ and ‘clavo huasca’ amongstothers. Enjoy spectacular views of the Amazon from a well placed viewpoint and finish the day with a night walk to see tarantulas, insects and alligators. Night at Botanical Lodge.
Second day.
See the local birds in their natural habitat. Take a walk deep into the jungle to find the giant trees – including the voluptuous and impressive Ceiba- Lupuna. Take in the local flora andfauna. Visit to a small zoo down the river to see the anacondas, monkeys among others. Recreative fishing. Take a night trip in a canoe around the lodge and enjoy the sounds of the forest at night. Night at Botanical Lodge.
Third day.
Visit the native Yagua tribe and discover their methods of manufacturing artisan products and their ability with the blow-pipe.
