Hope you are well, through this medium I inviteyou to visit and enjoy the
delights that is my city.
Valledupar is characterized by its beautiful river Guatapurí, and good treatment
of people, I wish you would come to this time taking advantageof the festival
season, as there are different activities to do in your free time one of them is to
assist the park Vallenato Legend, which is the site where we celebrate different
festivalactivities.
The vallenato music has four basic rhythms: son, paseo, merengue, and puya.
These are differentiated from each other by the speed and way the instruments
are played.
Valledupar's weather ishot and dry it does rain from April to November on the
wet season and dry season from December to march, sometimes the
temperature reach 40 degrees specially for Easter.
My favourite Valledupar’sfood Sancocho is a soup made with plantain yuca,
potato, corn, and the meat of your choice, It is a hearty, comforting and
delicious dish that is usually served with white rice , salad ,aji, lime andavocado
on the side.
The Catholicism has a high percentage of the population in Valledupar i guess
because the spaniards brought it to this region more than 500 years ago when
They colonized thecontinent
Valledupar is located in the southeast of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta so
we are close to any kind of weathers from hot to perpetual snow, also we have
rivers, lakes, savanah,...
