My Expirience Entering The College Band
When I wanted to enter the best college band of Puerto Rico Isaw it hard. First I had to make a audition. That day I was so nervous I was shaking. My mom made me companie when I waswating until they called me and she tried to relaxed me. Altough I felt likeI was passing the audition but people talked to me so bad about the director ‘’Efrein Gregory’’ of the band I felt scared. Instantly the secretary called my name to enter the audition rooms Iwarmed upand when I played at the beginning mysound was trembling but I controlled it further on. The director said ‘’okey Bradly we will be talking during the semester my friend, WELCOME TO THE MAYAGUEZCOLLEGE BAND’’. I was so excited, my mom and dad cried and my family felt proud for me. Now I have a Tuition Waiver and have more money for myself.
The first practice was in the brick track next tothe band and orquest department. Wherefore we marched, we played new music we freshmen didn’t know under the sun all day until three pm. Aldso the older members of the band made fun of us freshmen’sbecause we didn’t knew what we were doing in the way of marching. By the way as a punishment we did push ups and sweat like dogs under the hot sun. After a wild and hard practice the director toldus we were freshmen’s , we are like the cherrys of the band. A the end of dayI loved the practice after all, I felt like it was a nice welcome to the best band in UPR Band of Puerto Rico.Sanders 2
All my cousins, aunts and uncles, grandparents felt so happy about me. Otherwise is a privilege being in the band as a freshmen since August because not every student who auditionedpassed it.
My first activity as a official member of the band playing trombone was Tuesday, July the 31th, 2012. I felt happy, proud and excited of what I’ve achieved in my life. The freshmen...
