The Hyperbola.
In daily life there is always math involved, school (obviously), home, grocery shopping, drawing, buildings etc, in that range of shapes we can find the hyperbola even though it isnot very common, and is weird to imagine a hyperbola shape like we do whit the circumference, ellipse, parabola and other shapes, personally I do not like it, because it is really difficult to imagine,unlike the other ones are more visible. What is a hyperbola? It is the geometric place of such points that the difference of their distances to two points is a constant, those fixed pints are calledfoci ( or focus) so basically the hyperbola is like two parabolas facing opposite directions and they have the asymptotic lines which are never touched, like the ellipse and parabola it has its center, vertex and focus.
One important use of the Hyperbola is while making a building and making the planes for the construction you sometimes use hyperbolas to see how strong the bases should be, forexample here in San Luis we have the Miguel Barragan stadium which has a really peculiar sealing, they need to make some calculations using the hyperbola to see if the bases have to be “stronger” andwhere does it need to be stronger, because is very dangerous to have a weak building, therefore they have to make the precise calculations. There are many buildings that have a hyperbola shape, eitherthey used them in the process of building it or the used it as a design, when you use the hyperbola as the picture below they are called hyperboloids, an a hyperboloid it is considered by the rotationof a hyperbola it creates something very unique in my opinion.

Another use of the parabola is the trajectory of comets a body coming from the outside of solar system and is attracted by the sun,is considered a hyperbolic orbit considering the sun as a focus point, although it happens, but not with all of the comets.
