About three years ago, I used to wear high heels all the time. I used them to go to school, to go to work, to go out on weekends,everyday everywhere. Then, one day, I fell down the stairs and broke my ankle (ha!) and I was forced to wear a cast for about three weeks.When the cast was finally removed I was still in a lot of pain so I wasn’t able to wear heels so I went and bought my first pair offlats. I’m a short girl so I wasn’t keen on wearing those types of shoes; in fact, I kind of hated them as much as I hated tennis shoes.Having to go to ankle therapy and not being able to walk at all forced me to go and buy the flats. The ones I bought were a really cuteblack pair with a little shiny elbow on top. I started using this shoes quite often and slowly realized that I loved the fact that I wasable to walk for long periods of times without getting tired, falling down the stairs, hurting my feet and that I was now even able torun when I was late for class or work!.

Since then, flats have been my first choice for summer shoes. I have a lot of pairs now andespecially like the ones that have those really small heels with your toes showing in front. They are quite comfortable, cute and thereare models for all kinds of clothes. Ever since then I’ve said goodbye to the high heels and started wearing the ever trendy flats.
