Contradiction Matrix

Contradiction appears while trying to improve one desirable property another desirable property deteriorates! Conventional problem solvinggenerally leads to a compromise solution.

The most inventive solution is obtained when a technical problem containing a contradiction is solved by completely eliminating the contradiction.These are the 39 domains which are defined in TRIZ as being sources of contradiction. Most inventions are about solving contradictions.
