Celebrating life’s beauty that
teaches me to feel pleased with myself,
because it’s not enough with the skin
that doesn’t fill the inner emptiness,
for it’s necessary that hope’s seed
to be born from difficult times.
Perhaps I might lose again and
doors might be closed not to be opened anymore,
but maybe I’ll find an open window to a breeze
coming to refresh me,
through which I’ll beable to see
the new path that’s showed
which is exactly what I’m trying to avoid,

a Merchant Marine Official in 1980.

Since I was 22 years-old, I spent a great deal of my life at
sea; I immersed my youth among ships and long
voyages aroundthe world, in eastern and occidental
countries as a Merchant Marine Officer.

In the adaptation process to an environment, to avoid
becoming frustrated, your yearning should match with the
circumstances that you’ll come across, which will have a
direct impact in your behavior, in order to get a favorable
environment and “at the end of the day”, your training
being most successful instead of hostile surroundings,
because ofthe daily mistakes that keep on adding,
maybe without being able to solve them, because,…

2. KOBE – JAPAN (1985)

Any way, life ends up adjusting your pending bills.
THIS IS A LEGACY TO THE FORMATION OF MEN AND WOMEN ,ready to take the best that life has to offer.
HERE IS THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING!

One day, on returning to the ship from vacation, the Chief
in Commander saw me and cried to me:

“Stop there, Officer!
STOP!

Don’t take another step further,
better turn back with your luggage.
I don't want you on board”.

THIS MEMORY MADE THE DIFFERENCE IN MY LIFE.

We hadto travel from Ecuador to certain countries, to
board the FLOPEC-Ecuador Tankers.
When concluding my graduation at Guayaquil-Ecuador, I
was hired by the most important shipping company of oil
ships in my country at that time, with their main offices at
Quito, in the middle of the world. I took my first trip
abroad to Petro bras Oil Refinery-Rio de Janeiro/Brasil
and KSet company, Busan–Koreato receive training in
tanker ships operations, Here was my destiny, travelling
all over.
Maybe it wasn’t my decision to enroll in the Marine, but
rather that of my mothers, who believed that the most
convenient thing would be to follow that career, giving me
her reasons and advantages, which at the end, I now
thank, because this way I was formed as a man.
BUT SOMEHOW SHE FORGOT
TOEXPLAIN AN IMPORTANT DETAIL!

What should I do to overcome difficult situations?
And since I didn’t know, I had no choice but to adjust
myself on the road and go forward to loss or gain.
AS IT COMES OUT!!
