1 General Site Information

1.1 Location:
• The Cusiana and Cupiagua sites are located in the Andean foothills of Colombia, approx. 250 km north-west of Bogotá.
• Altitude approx. 400 meters above sea level.
• Distance from one site to the other approx. 30 km.

1.1 Ambient condition:
• Tropical climate.
• Temperature yearly average 30 ºC.

1.1 Access / Transportation:
• Access forex-pat. personnel to site is by plane and helicopter.
• Transportation of goods by road.
• Yopal airport, approx. 90 km away, has a runway suitable for large freight (Andropov) aircraft to land.

2 Installed Turbomachinery

2.1 CUSIANA facilities comprise of (PO :0314-1878-PME-001)

2.1.1 Gas Turbine Generators:
• 3 off Gas Turbines (Serial No’s: GT1=296785, GT2=296786, GT3=296787):General Electric Frame 5 type MS 5001 (single shaft). Manfactured by John Brown Engineering, Clydebank, Scotland. 1 machine (GT1) liquid and gas fired, 2 machines gas fired only.
Max rating: 2o.97 MW.
100% speed: 5100 rpm
• 3 off Gearboxes (Serial No’s: GT1=12204, GT2=12205, GT3=12206):
Lufkin type NFQ 3007 C.
• 3 off Generators (Serial No’s: GT1=261440/1, GT2=261440/2, GT3=261440/3):Peebles type SW 20CXC.
Max rating: 20.97 MW.
Speed: 1800 rpm
The 3 units are in identical packages, each package containing a turbine, a gearbox and a generator.


2.1.2 Gas Reinjection Trains:
• 6 off Gas Turbines (Serial No’s: MP1=05980, HP1=05982, MP2=05981, HP2=05983, MP3=G06032, HP3=G03033):
General Electric Frame 5 type MS 5002 C (twin shaft), all identical. Manufactured by NuovoPignone, Firenze, Italy. All machines gas fired only.
Max rating: 38.000 Hp
100% speed gas generator: 5100 rpm
100% speed power turbine: 4670 rpm
• 6 off Gearboxes (Serial No’s: MP1=5101, HP1=5099, MP2=5102, HP2=5100, MP3=N5360, HP3=N5361):
Flender-Graffenstaden type TRL 56/51.
• 3 off MP-Centrifugal Turbocompressors (Serial No’s: MP1=C11314, MP2=C11315, MP3=C11419):
Nuovo Pignone typeBCL 506/A (barrel type), all identical (but different to those at Cupiagua)
Nameplate suction / discharge pressures: 489 / 1808 PSIA.
Nameplate suction / discharge temperatures: 114.4 / 322 oF
Nameplate volumetric flow rate: 329 MMSCFD.
100% speed: 8641 rpm.
• 3 off HP- Centrifugal Turbocompressors (Serial No’s: HP1=C11316, HP2=C11317, HP3=C11420):
Nuovo Pignone type BCL 406/C (barreltype), all identical (but different to those at Cupiagua).
Nameplate suction / discharge pressures: 1788 / 5879 PSIA.
Nameplate suction / discharge temperatures: 120 / 309 oF.
Nameplate volumetric flow rate: 329 MMSCFD.
100% speed: 10126 rpm.
The compressors are equipped with seal oil systems (white metal seal rings) and CCC antisurge control systems.
The gas turbines are packaged, eachpackage containing a turbine, and its auxiliaries (starting machinery, oil pumps, etc.), installed in a common acoustic enclosure. The step-up gearbox driving the turbocompressor and the turbocompressor are not within the enclosure but are on common foundations with the gas turbine.

2.2 CUPIAGUA facilities comprise of: (PO 0314-2878-PME-201)

2.2.1 Gas Turbine Generators:
• 2 off GasTurbines (Serial No’s: GT1=296905, GT2=296906):
General Electric Frame 5 type MS 5001 (single shaft). Manfactured by John Brown Engineering, Clydebank, Scotland. Both machines liquid and gas fired.
Max rating: 20.97 MW.
100% speed: 5100 rpm
• 2 off Gearboxes (Serial No’s: GT1=12637, GT2=12638):
Lufkin type NFQ 3007 C.
• 2 off Generators (Serial No’s: GT1=261503/1, GT2=261503/2):
Peeblestype SW 20CXC.
Max rating: 20.97 MW.
Speed: 1800 rpm
The 2 units are in identical pacakages, each package containing a turbine, a gearbox and a generator.
