INTERPRETING THE RESPONSE.
For domestic U.S flights only, a single digit code is used to indicate typically how othen the flight arrives on time. On time is defined as arriving at the gate within fifteen minutes of the scheduled arrival time. A value of eight, for instance, indicates flight which arrives on time between 30 to 39.9 percent of the time.
1.The first line of the response indicates that 29 NOV is a THU. 2. The next two sections show time zones for the arrival and departure cities. PIT, for instance, is located in Eastern Standard Time (EST). ORD is located in Central Standard Time (CST). An adjustment indicator (‡ or, followed by number) gives the difference in time between the two cities. Since PIT and ORD are in different time zones,it easy to tell the number of hours difference in the two cities. Another example of time. A flight from ORD to LAX crosses two time zones. The sabre system displays indicating ORD is two hours ahead of LAX. 1 2 3 These numbers are used when making flight reservations.
