Introduction:
The turtles are amazing animals that have been in our world for many years. Turtles are reptiles with more than 300 species, between land-turtles andsea-turtles. Even sea turtles or aquatic turtles need to breath air, but they can spend many time under the water without breathing.

The reason:
Turtles have being commercialized for many years but its meatand eggs got more expensive in the last decade, also making the commercialization business, increase.

Some of the many species that are being commercialized, are in a really high or extreme riskof getting extinct, which makes it illegal either to buy them or sell them, and the thing that happens with illegal things, is that their value increases and so the winnings of it, making it morepopular.
Also, being under captivity reduces a possible life of over 40 years, to a top of 3 years, because of an specific diet which combined with the environment where they are surviving, doesn'tleaves them any other choice that fight every day to try to get trough it.


In Colombia:
There are many organizations that are fighting for animals' rights, but there is one organization thatsfighting for many sea animals including sea turtles. This organization that operates in colombian coasts, helped by "parques nacionales naturales" and the "ministerio de defensa de colombia", defendsturtles with all the voluntaries that are interested in a good treat towards animals in common. Other of the important ways to preserve turtles in colombia, is that some beaches, are now called natural parks withrestricted people, which leaves to turtles a safe place to put the eggs. Also voluntaries make an important roll with the environment, helping local organizations with their jobs.
