UGANDA
The political situation in Uganda has been rough since its independence from England in 1962. In 1971-79 the dictatorial regime of Idi Amin was responsible for the deaths of some 300,000opponents, and from 1980-1985 a guerrilla war and human rights abuses under Milton Obote claimed another 100,000 lives. As a result of these two major atrocities, the government promulgated non-partypresidential and legislative elections during the 1990’s. After a period of relative peace and calm, the government restored the legal system to one based on English common law and customary law in1995. Also during this time, the government dissolved the Constituent Assembly upon the promulgation of the constitution. The Constituent Assembly was an interim, 284-member Assembly that was chargedwith debating the draft constitution that had been proposed in May 1993.
Since it has been a war country, bad soldier leaders (in this case Joseph Kony) have exploited the political and socialinstability to fight for their personal economic interests at the expense of the lives of people of that country.

Young children are recruited into the army to fight Kony local guerrillas and exposingthem forcing them to fight for reasons that are not explained or even mentioned. Heinous crimes are committed against them and their families to the point of having to kill their parents and siblingsas a way of training tactics.
By the need to have good diplomatic relations, no country has been able to act against it, and United Nations by their recommendations has failed to achieve thegovernment of Uganda to counter this problem to prevent further human deaths directly caused by its political instability.
It had to be a civilian, whose promise a ex recruited child of these armies to dosomething about the case, who started a great movement called "TRI" to create global awareness of these acts, and to gather people and activists to ensure that governments could meet their demands and...
