Problem around the world
Human trafficking is the sale, transportand profit from human beings who are forced to work for others, is the modern equivalent of slavery. Against their will, millions of people around the world are forced to work for the profit ofothers, for example by begging, prostitution, involuntary servitude, working in sweatshops, even becoming child soldiers.
Millions of people every year are the victims of human trafficking. Slavery,which is often thought to have ended with the civil war, is alive and well in the world of today. As a crime that is not being significantly impacted by the measures taken to prevent it, the governinginternational bodies are currently working to improve conviction of the criminals involved with this crime and also in the aid of the victims of the crime.
Problem in my country
Uganda is a source anddestination country for men, women, and children trafficked for the purposes of forced labor and sexual exploitation. Ugandan children are trafficked within the country for forced labor in thefishing, agricultural, and domestic service sectors, as well as for commercial sexual exploitation; they are also trafficked to other East African and European countries for the samepurposes. Karamojong women and children are sold as slaves in cattle markets or by intermediaries and are subsequently forced into domestic servitude, sexual exploitation, cattle herding, and begging.
In Uganda there iscurrently between the most dangerous places in the world, which is because of Joseph Kony. He is one of the most wanted and dangerous man in the world.
