HOME, SWEET HOME!!

TOPIC: Home sweet home!
Year: 8 years old aprox.
Time: Two weeks
Grade level: 3º Primary

OBJECTIVES:
1. Learn vocabulary related to the house and its parts.
2. Learn and correctly use the most common prepositions of place.
3.Form sentences with the vocabulary using prepositions of place.
4. Remember and use the forms correctly there is / there are.
5. Make descriptions of a house, using all the vocabulary as possible.

CONTENTS:
1. Reading comprehension of short, simple texts, in order to identify sounds and graphs.
2. Identifying objects described orally.
3. Listening and hearing basiccommunicative expressions through various teaching resources (video, radio cassette ... class discussions).
4. Order words in response to a particular grammatical structure, when elaborate phrases.
5. Learning a poem / song that favor the internalization of parts of the house through mime and speaking.
6. Analysis and evaluation of tradition and English culture, their homes, their structure, whichmake them different from ours ...

METHODOLOGY:
1. From the initial assessment, specific and comprehensive, taking into account the skills, attitudes, needs, interests and previous knowledge of students.
2. Motivation: Creating a classroom environment that promotes communication, where simultaneously generate situations that arouse interest and expectations in the students. Key to thisis, from their own experiences, tastes, needs ...
3. Prior knowledge of students: identify the conceptual basis of the students that start strengthening, settling those that are not internalized and involving learning difficulties with the acquisition of new content (conceptual, procedural and attitudinal).
4. Make use of networks, diagrams and concept maps in treating and addressingcertain content ensures the functionality of learning.

ASSESSMENT:
1. Make it simple texts deployed to the basics of code written in English language.
2. Identify the different parts of the house and correct use of prepositions of place and the verb form there is, there are.
3. Participate in class respecting the basic rules of communication and pay attention and interest.
4. Understandssimple oral messages related to the contents of the unit teaching and daily classroom life.

ABSTRACT:
Today's topic is home sweet home, and therefore, we will learn the different parts of the house and furniture. The class is divided into four parts. The first part, the introduction, is the first contact with the vocabulary. We use a comic book and a crossword. The second part is a listening to asong, then repeat it aloud. The third part consists of two different activities. The first, individually, we form sentences following a model, and the second is a visual and oral activity, where we practice true and false. The last part of the class is a cultural activity, where we will see differences with other countries and other forms of housing.

ACTIVITIES:
1. The first’s activitieswill be a little comic illustration, store… that will serve as the basis for the time to start teaching the new theme. Children should read it first themselves, quietly, and then a volunteer will read aloud. Then, we will complete some very enjoyable activities as games, like a crossword puzzle.
*Specifics objectives: This exercise is quite introductory. It is based on the children recognize andassociate visual parts of the house with their English names. Then, read aloud, will see their previous level of pronunciation. As a comic, this type of activity adds more motivation in them, as it contains many drawings and short phrases, which makes it simpler and easier when internalization.
