CAUTION!
When the control key position is OFF, the display is off and keyboard is disabled but the ECR's power is still ON. So that before you open the upper case, make sure that the AC cord is disconnected. Especially when you replace the ROM, it must be disconnected, otherwise the ECR will be damaged.
