Sala Silvermine Underground suite
A single suite, 155m undergroundThe world's deepest bedroom
You can sleep 155 metres underground in an underground suite in historic Sala Silvermine, one of the world’s best preserved mine settings. Here you will see dark windinggalleries, vast caverns and magic lakes. Even to those not familiar with mining, the underground setting is sensational. It is cold, damp and dark, but very beautiful.
Experienced guides tell you ofa fantastic chapter in industrial history. During its heyday, production amounted to more than 3 tons of silver a year, and a total of more than 400 tons of silver and about 40,000 tons of lead wereextracted - completely by hand!
Most of the silver was used in manufacturing coins, but artefacts were also made.

Underground Suite Details
After a guided tour of the -155m underground level, you are provided with a basket of refreshments andsomething to drink. The mine guide then leaves you alone in your suite below ground to enjoy the refreshments and the solitude of the mine. In the morning a guide comes to serves your breakfast beforeyou're taken to ground level again.
The underground suite costs 3750 SEK for 2 persons (inc. taxes).
Included in this price is a guided tour of our 155 m level, your refreshments basket, breakfastand your stay in the mining suite. A simple toilet is available about 50m away from the suite. Showers are available in the Sala Bed and Breakfast above ground.
