MicroStrategy Jump-Start Labeler Utility Guide

The Jump-Start Labeler is a utility that will help you rename the Jump-Startobjects. The Jump-Start project has generic names to identify out-of-the-box attributes, facts, and metrics. This utility helps you find and replace these default names with something that is moremeaningful to you. For example, “M1” is a generic metric name that is based off “Fact 1.” To make these more meaningful, you may replace the name “Fact 1” with “Revenue” and replace the name M1 with“Revenue” as well. Before you begin, you will need to download the Jump-Start labeler from the MicroStrategy Knowledgebase. Note that you will need MicroStrategy Administrator rights to use this utility.IMPORTANT!! 3. Select your Project Source, Authentication Mode, and input the username and password and click OK.

1. Choose the Project Source that connects to the Jump-Start metadata.2. Select your authentication mode.

3. By default, use “Administrator” with no password. 4. Click “Login” to begin.
