Human nature… it just consists on destroying for its own happiness, even destroying other humans, it is a constant state of destruction, andhurt others by different ways, for example: slavery, just to make sure a comfortable life, with no efforts. It’s supposed that slavery was abolished long time ago, and now It is assumed that humans and every single being in the world are free, but it is not true, even maintaining this big lie , and with everyone talking about the intelligence of human beings, freedom and equality. But slaverystill exists thanks to human brutality and anthropocentrism. The animal’s situation isn’t the same of Negros when they were slaves? Animals are slaves, just our comfort and pleasure. Pleasures and luxuries such as skins, lab proofs for cosmetics and purses. ¡We eat them! We are still savages; we haven’t seen that animals also are intelligent, they have soul and feelings. Is from intelligentpeople to eat something that is murdered in the worst conditions?, when Gandhi and many other thinkers referred about freedom they referred to freedom for every single being on Earth, not only for the selfish and anthropocentric humanity. That’s why I think there are so many reasons to be a vegan, here are a few:

Vegetarian food is very good for all things, example:

• Yourhealth is good, because vegetables and fruits don’t have cholesterol and hormones, but the best thing is that animals don’t suffer.

• Being vegetarian permits more ground for planting and less contamination; remember the cattle produces a lot of methane gas.

• If the human don’t eat animal meat, inside you’re better.

Being avegetarian is the best option

The art of eating to live: some people ignore the advice to reduce consumption of animal products, maybe hoping a miracle; but the best option is to prevent: Being a vegetarian is the best way.

There are wonderful options to eating, without damaging your health. If you decide to eliminate meat for the diet, you avoid a lot of diseases like: cancer, heartinfarction and others such as poor digestion, bad smell in the mouth. The idea is live and let live. Animals also want to live like you, remember they have a nervous system, they feel pain and fear.

Maybe the problem is our culture, occidental cultures always eat meat, and use other animal products like leather and skins, but it’s right now that we have to make a decision for changing ourcostumes. Please “Don`t kill more.”

The Hare Krishna devotee Swami Prabhupada said: “animals are our younger brothers.”

How can I begin to be vegetarian?

1. Research and collect information: why so many people have left the meat, discover that being a vegetarian is easy and healthy; learn about the myths that surround it, like: (calcium, iron and protein).

2. Think:Think about animals, your body and the earth. Consider the impact of your food choices on those around you, and the world. Remember, we are what we eat.

3. Talk: Talk to vegetarians and no-vegetarians. Make questions. Share your concerns. Start to share with vegetarians. Visit websites.

4. Put yourself goals: you can make games during your process, bet with your friends, forexample: that could be a month without eating in Macdonald’s, or two weeks without eggs. You can reward yourself; it depends only on your progress.

5. Kitchen: The vegetarian kitchen is like a new world and a challenge, taking vegetarian cooking classes, get books and magazines, test new recipes, be creative, have fun doing it. Check that meatless meal is possible.
