The Pyramids of Sudan

Some people believe that the pyramids are some of the most famous manmade objectsaround the world that have been discovered thousand years ago. However, many archeologists consider that these pyramids are still mysteries because they are not truly convinced about how were theconstructions. Furthermore, they think there are others pyramids that have not been explored because there are not enough archeologists. One of these incredible pyramids is The Pyramids of Sudan that wereconstructed at three sites in Nubian Desert in northern Sudan. In this essay, I will explain about the pyramids of Sudan, the purpose for these constructions and the importance.
The pyramids inancient Nubia (aka kingdom of Kush & today is called Sudan) were approximately a total of 223, double the pyramids of its neighbor Egypt (Ancient Nubian Pyramids, n.d.) All of these pyramids werewell decorated to house the bodies of the kings and queens of Sudan. The pyramids were built in northern Sudan from the 4th century BC to 3d century AD. And many of them have been found specifically atel-Kurru, Nuri, Jebel Barkal, and Meroe. The pyramids of Sudan remains a gold mine for archaeologists because it has been far less explored them and also have been studied them during thousands ofyears (Sudan’s forgotten pyramids, 2010). The archeologists argue that these pyramids were probably not built by slaves, but by habitants of this society, either as a tax, or even as paid seasonal work.However, the archeologist do not know the exact technique of erecting the pyramids has not been established, and they believe the main problem is understand how the big stones of the pyramids wherebuilt. Others consider that the Nubian could have been built and carry the stones with the instruments available at the time.
